Whether or not we are regularly aware of it, we’re all writing our legacy one day at a time. As a busy homeschool mom of seven, I understand how easy it is to lose sight of that. I’ve learned that filtering life through a journal (well…many different journals!) and embracing my love of all things artsy and history have helped me weave legacy building into my daily life, especially as I spend time in the Secret Place with my Heavenly Father.
My daughter says I’m an “under-consuming maximalist.” Maximalist because I love to surround myself with art, antiques, photos, and relics of family history. Under-consuming because I shop almost exclusively at consignment, thrift, and antique stores, and I frame and hang my kids’ artwork and decorate with mementos. I’d love to share some of my discoveries with you.
At age 41, I accidentally found my earthly dad, but I later realized that it was my heavenly Father who I had been longing for all my life. Now, I love encouraging believers to grow closer to the Father in practical ways.
